Halt the doom scroller…

We’ve all seen it. Maybe you’ve even done it yourself. Scrolling on Facebook and Instagram and then all of the sudden 2 hours have gone by - I know I’ve caught myself a couple times.

This is where the worst sin in marketing creeps in - being BORING. If your ad is boring and doesn’t grab the entire of the viewer, you get skipped over and forgotten about forever.

So what can you do?

For one, the visuals have to hit right - try some movement, bright colors or show something that is really, really desired. Or combine all three.

Two, make sure the headline grabs their attention IMMEDIATELY. Think what’s in it for them. And if it doesn’t get their attention quickly, they’ll keep scrolling.

Finally, don’t overload so much on text. I like to stick to just a headline and maybe a subhead. That’s it. It should grab their attention but make them want more info and click on the link.
